Easy Sangria

red sangria in a wine glass with straw at the beach

Fast, easy and your guests will be impressed because it looks complicated…and it is refreshing!

This fruity concoction is perfect to match with a quick and easy party snack like our Fire Crackers recipe whether you are hosting a big bash aboard or just relaxing on the beach.

Decide if you want to make red or white sangria…or both! This recipe can be easily be doubled or tripled and served in a punch bowl for a party.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bottle of wine (most anything will work, I usually use a Cabernet or Riesling)
  • ½ cup of coconut rum
  • 2 cups of pineapple or orange juice
  • 1-2 cups ginger ale
  • 2 cups mixed frozen fruit (buy frozen or freeze what you have on hand, there are no rules, mix it up anyway you like or use what you have on hand.)
    • for red, I like: darker fruits like raspberries, blueberries, red grapes, strawberries.
    • for white, I like: peaches, pineapple, white grapes, apples, kiwi.

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large pitcher, put 2 cups of frozen fruit on the bottom.
  2. Pour in the wine, rum, and the juice. Save the ginger ale.
  3. Let sit in refrigerator for a few hours.
  4. Just before serving, add the ginger ale so you keep the bubbles. Feel free to taste to see if you want to add more rum or ginger ale.
  5. Pour over a glass of ice or additional frozen fruit.
  6. Garnish with orange, lime, or lemon slices.
  7. Enjoy!
