McConaghy Boats latest launch for an American client is a multihull with much pizzazz. The Banuls designed ñ53 Trimaran is a very fast cruising trimaran with wave piercing bows and modern clear carbon interior finishes. The ñ53 has been optimized for safety, performance and shorthanded cruising at killer speeds. Construction is carbon, E/glass with foam cores to make the boat super light. A carbon canting wing mast, Harken winches and Karver furlers ensure high performance under sail, whilst a 39HP engine and retracting bow thruster provides performance and control under power. It has a forward guest cabin, an aft owners’ suite, a generously-sized galley and saloon, full head with shower and carbon toilet provide a comfortable interior for extended cruising.
