There is absolutely nothing better than this fresh conch salad as an appetizer on a hot summer day, prepared by the local guy on the beach. It is slightly chewy, bursting with zesty flavor and so very refreshing.The Bahamian Islands are known for their wonderful fresh conch salad. It is made with Queen Conch, a large edible sea snail that tastes kind of like calamari. It is a little chewy and on its own does not have any distinct taste but prepared properly with the right ingredients, it’s the ideal dish.
Ingredients
4 fresh conch – cleaned 1 large sweet pepper 1 medium onion 2 tomatoes 5 limes—juiced 1 orange—juiced (optional) 1 habanero/goat pepper (optional) Salt and PepperDirections
Dice all vegetables and conch. Mix together in large bowl. Cover with the orange and lime juice. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve Immediately.MORE YACHT CHARTER INFO
