2021 All-Catamaran Rendezvous Event

Traditional Rendezvous in 2020 Cancelled
Unfortunately, our now traditional Abacos Bahamas rendezvous was not possible. Following 2019’s Hurricane Dorian devastation of the beautiful Abaco Islands, they remain mostly without services. Marsh Harbour in particular is still in turmoil and resources are limited.
We received the following information directly from the friends in the Abacos:
Central Abaco is working to reconstruct their businesses and personal lives, but the massive destruction will take years to overcome. We would like to emphasize that while the Marsh Harbour commercial center was hit the hardest, the offshore cays are returning to previous levels of activity although at less than their previous service. Individuals wishing to visit Abaco either by boat or air are welcome and will find acceptable accommodations in the cays.
An Alternative All-Catamaran Rendezvous
We regretfully canceled the 2020 Abacos event, but it does not mean that we cannot rendezvous and continue to support the Abacos!
We may be hosting a less formal “Mini Rendezvous Meet Up” in the Chesapeake area in June or July. Our Bali 5.4, Z3, will be north for the summer season (via the Bahamas) so we want to invite as many catamaran enthusiasts and their friends as possible for some Rendezvous fun including Hooligan Juice!! Of course, there will be, sometimes crazy, activities, parties, contests, and dinners all while meeting interesting people.
The proceeds from the mini-Rendezvous will benefit the Hopetown Youth Sailing Club members and their families. Their activities at the club provide the children with some form of normalcy and something to keep them focused and occupied. Our 2019 support helped the Hopetown sailors attend the 2019 Opti North American Championships where 2 kids sailed on the Bahamas National Team. Learn more about Hope Town Jr. Sailing.

Bahamian sun. We will have our usual fun regatta usually with some first-time racers. And perhaps the Hooligan juice will flow again.
