RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course provides the practical skills and seamanship knowledge needed to confidently operate a powerboat. This internationally recognized certification forms the basis for obtaining the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) and is widely regarded as the standard entry-level qualification for competent powerboat drivers.

During this hands-on course, students will develop essential boat handling skills while learning safe and effective seamanship practices. Training focuses on low-speed maneuvering, close-quarters handling, and an introduction to operating at planing speed.

The course takes place in the waters around Hollywood, Florida, with training areas including the Intracoastal Waterway, South Lake, and nearby maneuvering areas between the Sheridan Street and Hallandale Beach Boulevard bridges.
