Builders Remarks: The Leopard 46/Moorings 4600 is the accumulation of 30 years charter experience by the Moorings and 1000 catamarans built by Robertson and Caine. No other mid forty foot catamaran matches the interior space, walk around beds, separate stall showers with excellent sailing performance and ease of maintenance.

Owner’s Remarks: We are the second owner of this Leopard 46. She has sailed all over the Caribbean in her life. The first owner captained his own charters with her in the beginning of her life. He then lived on her and ran a charter company from the boat. During this stage of life, she was moved back and forth from St Martin to St. Thomas once or twice a year and therefore the engine hours are estimated to be around 4000+ hours.

We purchased the boat with the intention of taking a 6-month sabbatical with our family of 4. We have sailed it throughout the USVI (St Thomas, St John, St Croix), the Spanish Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and have ended in Florida. The Leopard 46 is a great sailing vessel. She sails well in all winds and loves to cruise at 8 knots. She does well on a broad reach and points as high as 45 degrees. We have found that there is no lost speed from reefing early and usually run with at least 1 reef in anything over 10 knots of wind. Our average fuel consumption was less then $300 per month. Our family has enjoyed our last 6 months aboard and are selling the boat because our children are wanting to complete high school in seat, rather than remotely.
