Nauta Design was tasked with redesigning the interior of the 400 and the result is the stunning 400 S2. The 400S2 is a warmer with a more comfortable feel, which has been achieved by the use of more wood and fewer white fiberglass surfaces. The new Alpi wood veneer has a deeper, richer grain pattern and the overall look is fresh and stylish. The saloon/galley layout make much better use of the available space. The main fuse panel is now behind the galley console, allowing the electrical panel (as it was before) to house a chest freezer without compromising the storage space in the galley area. The dining table has the provision for seating on three sides, which is more social than the previous L-shaped arrangement. Below, the aft double beds have been widened at the foot, with a step on one side for easy access and the owner’s accommodation in the 3-cabin version has been improved. Outdoors she’s unchanged, with the same fantastic ergonomics and sprightly sailing characteristics that have already made the 400 such a great success.
