We recently purchased a Beneteau Oceanis 48 with Michel’s help. He was wonderful. We were 30-year charterers but this was our first foray into boat ownership. We had been looking, not seriously, for a few years. We finally became serious last summer and Michel’s name came up. We recognized his name because he helped us when we participated in an auction for a one-way sail from St. Vincent to the BVI in 2004. He was very helpful. We were the high bidder and had a wonderful trip through much of the Caribbean. It was a great experience. Hard to believe it was almost 20 years ago.
After Michel’s name came up, we reached out to him when we were searching for our new-to-us boat. We hired him as a consultant. I would recommend him to any one as a broker or consultant. His advice and guidance kept us from making some mistakes and helping us ask the right questions.
We are now the proud owners of a 2018 Beneteau Oceanis 48. We purchased it in January and it is in charter with BVI Yacht Charters. The good news is it is pretty much fully booked, and we are going to take our first sail, as owners, the first week in July. We are still working so having it fully chartered works out very well for us.
